Inclusion & Diversity

Making diversity a priority is not only the right thing to do, but it’s also the smart thing to do. Dow has recently earned the 22nd place on the 2020 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list. This acknowledgment showcases Dow’s continuous commitment to promote an inclusive and diverse working environment.

We have also been included on four of DiversityInc’s Specialty Lists:

  • 2nd on Top Companies for Employee Resource Groups
  • 3rd on Top Companies for Supplier Diversity
  • one of 16 companies on Top Companies for People with Disabilities
  • one of 29 companies on Top Companies for LGBT Employees.

How are we moving inclusion forward at Dow? Through our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), we are committed to fully investing in our people and their potential without any barriers.

GLAD

With the purpose of fostering a safe, inclusive, supportive and open work environment for all employees, regardless of their sexual orientation, GLAD was formed more than 15 years ago, to improve LGBTQ+ workplace equality.

Celebrating our colleagues’ success is the glue that makes Dow the best place to work. See our colleagues at the Workplace Pride Gala 2019 held in London (UK) where four Dow leaders achieved Top Honors on OUTstanding’s 2019 Leading LGBT+ Professionals Lists.

RISE

As one of Dow’s newest ERGs, RISE is a platform for the voice of new employees to be heard. Our aim is to foster positive integration of new employees, enabling them to contribute their full potential faster and influence the Dow culture through their unique voice. Our RISE Network based in Dow Terneuzen (NL) recently organized the 4th Speed Networking event aimed at creating bridges between young and experienced professionals. More than 100 young employees engaged with over 30 leaders from 10 Dow departments (TES, M&E, R&D, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service etc.) and across the Dow Benelux region. Can you see yourself as our next RISE member?

DISABILITY EMPLOYEE NETWORK

Designed to create opportunities for career development of all employees with disabilities, the Disability Employee Network aims at raising awareness about the contributions they make – both at work and outside of work.

Dow Tarragona – our second largest production site in Europe – has been collaborating with the local community to support the inclusive celebration Festa per a Tothom during the recurring Santa Tecla de Tarragona. Want to learn more about the initiative?
