I’m already a Dow employee. Where do I apply for a new position?

Existing employees can find information about job opportunities using keyword Job Announcement System (JAS), available to all internal employees.

I wanted to apply for a position that I saw previously on careers.dow.com, but it is not listed anymore. Can I still apply?

If you no longer see a position on our careers page, then the opportunity is no longer available. You may consider applying to any other opportunities that fit your skill set. Also, be sure to sign up for our job alerts, which will automatically notify you of new job opportunities!

What should I do if I cannot find a job that matches my needs?

I found an acronym in a job description—what does it mean?

At Dow, we use a lot of acronyms such as JAS (our internal Job Application System). We do our best to avoid using them, but sometimes we miss them when reviewing the job description. If you find an acronym that you would like to understand, try using an acronym finder. 

How long will it take to hear back from Dow after I apply?

Upon submitting your application online, you will receive an automatic acknowledgement email at the email address you specified. 

Can I apply for more than one position?

You can apply for more than one position at a time. 

How do I apply?

To apply, can I send my resume directly to a recruiter to be considered for an opportunity at Dow?

No, all interested candidates must submit their applications via our online application. Dow does not accept/is not responsible for unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, candidates or fee-based recruitment services.

Should I send samples of my work with my resume?

We ask that you include only materials that are requested during the application process. 

Can I apply for positions outside of the country where I live?

When searching for available positions, you may narrow down locations by the region and/ or country of your choice. While relocation may not be available for all jobs, you can apply for many positions outside of the country where you live, unless relocation is prohibited in the job description. 

I submitted my resume/applied for a job at Dow, but I haven’t heard back yet. What’s the status of my application?

You will receive an acknowledgement email notifying you that we have received your application for employment. If you do not receive the email, you should check your spam folder to ensure that it was not accidentally delivered there. You can also view your application status online to see if it is marked as submitted.

I need a work permit to work in the United States. Will Dow sponsor me?

Dow may sponsor individuals on a limited, case-by-case basis for experienced hires and some graduate hires.

How long does it take to complete the online application?

Completing your professional profile for the first time takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes. The time can be reduced by using your LinkedIn profile to sign in or by importing your resume. Completing the job application after creating a professional profile takes 5 to 10 minutes for most roles. 

How can I confirm that my application has been received?

You will receive an acknowledgement email notifying you that we have received your application for employment. If you do not receive the email, you should check your spam folder to ensure that it was not accidentally delivered there. You can also view your application status online to see if it is marked as submitted. 

Who can I contact if I am having problems applying online?

Our HR team is available to answer questions. 

Can I access the careers website and apply for a position with a mobile phone?

Yes, our careers site and application have been optimized for mobile. It is built using responsive design, meaning that the site will automatically adjust to the device that you are using.

 
What is your interview process?

How long does it take to hear back after an employment interview?

Though it may vary by position, you can typically expect to hear back from Dow within 2-4 weeks. To learn more about the application process, check out our application process overview page.

Does Dow conduct background checks?

Many companies, including Dow, conduct background checks in most countries.

How do we agree on a start date if I'm offered the position?

Upon receiving an offer, you should discuss this with the recruiter to agree upon a date.

What is the working environment like?

Dow is a global company and features unique working environments across many different locations. Does Dow help employees with relocation?

Dow makes relocation decisions on a case-by-case basis, dependent upon the position in question. 

Are flexible working options offered at Dow?

Flexible accommodations may vary based on the position and the circumstances regarding the request. If this is an important consideration for you, be sure to speak with the hiring manager prior to accepting a role. 

Will I have the opportunity to work abroad?

There are limited opportunities to work abroad, which are dependent on your role and performance. Some roles and some locations are more likely than others to have international assignments. These may include short-term or long-term opportunities ranging from one week to several years. Many roles at Dow do have a global scope and provide the opportunity to interact with individuals across many geographies and countries. 

Are there opportunities for career advancement at Dow?
