We continue to make significant progress using our expertise, products, technologies and partnerships to meet the evolving demands of customers while leading the transition to a more sustainable, inclusive future.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission requires U.S.-based companies that have at least 100 employees to provide U.S.-based workforce data.

While the EEO-1 report is limited in scope and does not include our global workforce information, we believe transparency is key to advancing inclusion, diversity and equity. The data provided in our 2022 INtersections Progress Report is a more comprehensive reflection of our progress and serves to hold us accountable to our commitments.

Dow’s Inclusion and Diversity strategy is led by Alveda Williams, Dow’s Chief Inclusion Officer. Three committees play distinct and necessary roles for implementation.

Driving Economic Growth Through Supplier Diversity

As a global leader in material sciences, Dow recognizes engagement of small & diverse suppliers maximizes bottom-line value, drives innovation and supports economic growth. Dow's supplier diversity initiative focuses on identifying and building relationships with enterprises owned by minorities, women, veterans, LGBTQ+ and disabled persons as well as certified small businesses.

Championing Inclusion Through Employee Resource Groups

 

Our ten Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are key partners in helping us connect and engage talent. With over 186 chapters worldwide, our ERGs are just one way we are making inclusion a hallmark of Dow.

Several of the ERGs have formed partnerships with external organizations to drive progress and change, develop community programs and pursue other outreach opportunities.

In addition to the ERGs, we also support informal employee groups, such as working parents, young professionals and biking clubs to promote camaraderie, teamwork and fun in the workplace.

Committing to ACT

Racial bias and division are woven into the fabric of our society. Every day, members of the Black community encounter racism, bigotry and threat of violence because of the color of their skin. As we reflect on recent racial injustices, we know it’s not enough to just condemn this bigotry. We have to dismantle it in ourselves and our organization.
