Team Dow is living our core values; and all of us around the world are seeing and feeling that culture every day.
Earlier this week, we were recognized for something that many of us have known for a long time: Dow is a Great Place to Work®. But it’s better than great; it’s special. And that’s because of Team Dow.
From the way we collaborate to help create a better society, to how we stand up for one another, our customers, and our communities — together, we’re better. And when we come together and draw on all our different experiences and insights, we’re not just creating a better culture, we’re developing solutions for a better tomorrow.
Recently, Team Dow’s hard work and contributions earned us a place on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® 2021 list. And, recently, we were also recognized by Great Place to Work® in several other countries around the world, including as 2021 Best Workplaces™ in Argentina, Canada, Colombia, and Saudi Arabia.
Much like the pillars of our ambition, these honors are interrelated, and each could not have been achieved on its own. As a global company, these acknowledgments are proof that our culture and values are global as well.
Last year, we faced many challenges. However, thanks to Team Dow’s perseverance and can-do spirit, we kept moving forward. We stepped up and continued to provide support to our customers, our communities, and one another.
We were recognized because of the hard work and contributions of Team Dow.
These awards also reflect direct feedback from employees themselves. Great Place to Work® surveyed employees on issues including how trustworthy, caring and fair companies are in times of crises; employees’ physical, emotional and financial health; and a company’s broader community impact. Particular attention was paid to how employees’ experiences varied depending on their job role, gender, race/ethnicity, payroll status, and other characteristics to ensure that the company is creating a great workplace for all.
And when Dow employees shared comments about what makes Dow a great place to work, the word “people” was shared most often. From our purpose to our people, our company is well positioned for the future. And, while our work is far from over, it’s because of our team and the culture we’ve created together, that I’m certain our ambition is achievable.
