Dow receives the 10 year partnership award from Henkel

A responsive and innovative supplier is only one side of the equation. A 10 years partnership award across three categories

Recently, we were recognized by Henkel Adhesive Technologies with a 10-Years Partnership Award. Henkel, a leading global solution provider for adhesives, sealants and functional coatings, annually recognizes its suppliers in three categories: Innovation, Operational Excellence and Sustainability. On the 10th anniversary of its Supplier Awards, the business unit honored us for being a successful longstanding collaborator across all three categories.

  • In the category of Innovation, we have supported a sustained expansion of Henkel´s innovation portfolio in traditional business areas as well as in the exploration of opportunities in new business arenas.
  • In Operational Excellence, we have consistently prioritized Henkel demands during supply and market disruptions.
  • In the category of Sustainability, we have been a pioneer in developing and collaborating in novel approaches for a more sustainable product portfolio.

Contributing across businesses and industries

Initially built on our hotmelt- and silicones franchise, our partnership with Henkel has expanded over the years into all our business divisions. Our polyurethane, monomer and industrial solutions businesses have contributed strongly in the category of Operational Excellence, while Innovation and Sustainability have been key drivers across our packaging, consumer, coatings and construction materials businesses. Dow’s consumer business also provided critical contributions to special projects including exceptional support of Henkel during a major M&A integration.

For example, Dow’s bio-based AFFINITY™ RE enabled Henkel’s Technomelt Supra ECO, the first carbon-negative hot melt adhesive. The AFFINITY™ RE range consists of three grades of 100% bio-based content on a mass balance basis, to optimize the carbon footprint of hot melt adhesives for packaging.
