Dow to participate in the CIIE for the 3rd consecutive year

Showcasing comprehensive materials science solutions in New Infrastructure, Health & Medical, MobilityScience™, and Sustainable Consumption

Shanghai, November 2, 2020 – Dow Inc. will participate in the 3rd China International Import Expo (CIIE) from Nov. 5 to 10 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. This year marks the 3rd consecutive year for Dow at the Expo. Seeing an increasing demand for high value-added materials in the China market, Dow is showcasing 102 innovative materials science solutions in the areas of New Infrastructure, Health & Medical, MobilityScience™, and Sustainable Consumption.

“Dow is one of the first Fortune 500 companies to participate in the inaugural China International Import Expo two years ago,” said Yoke Loon Lim, president of Dow Greater China. “At the first two expos, we signed strategic orders with customers, and initiated several new partnerships. This year, we have doubled our exhibition area and have adopted more digital tools to showcase our innovative materials science solutions to an even wider audience.” As this year’s Chairman of the Professional Committee on Industrial Digital Transformation, the CIIE Enterprise Alliance, Lim will lead committee members to share advice on China’s industrial digitalization to drive continuous industry growth.

Dow’s exhibit of materials science solutions will feature four major fields to address focal needs of the China market and Chinese consumers:

New Infrastructure

Showcasing materials solutions for applications in 5G networks, new energy, intercity rail, carbon reduction and energy saving. The DOWANOL™ PMA HyPure-1A high-purity oxygenated solvent for advanced semiconductor chips will make its first global debut at the expo.

Health & Medical

An integrated display of essential materials solutions against Covid-19, applied in medical protective equipment, disinfectant solutions, and hospital facilities. It will include Dow’s polyethylene-based nonwoven solutions for more comfortable personal protection equipment.

MobilityScience™

Showcasing safer, more comfortable, and more energy-saving and eco-friendly mobility solutions, including a vehicle display featuring Dow’s latest applications in electric vehicles. Dow will have a special presentation on MobilityScience™ solutions on Nov. 6, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm.

Sustainable Consumption

Showcasing a wide range of sustainable consumer solutions covering almost every aspect of daily life. Cloudlike breathable memory foam, based on the VoraZzz™ technology, will make its debut in Asia at the expo. Compared to traditional materials, the extra breathability of the new foam allows air to flow freely and heat escape easily, making it an ideal material for premium maternal and baby care products.

Dow will host live streams on Nov. 8 at the booth, introducing Dow products and solutions, as well as their applications and sustainable features. Dow experts will engage audience online, while some products will be available for order at Dow’s flagship store at 1688.com:
