Created in 2006 by the Fédération Française pour les Sciences de la Chimie, the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty and France Chimie, and supported today by the Fondation de la Maison de la Chimie and France Chimie, the Pierre Potier Award (French chemist-biologist 1934-2006) aims to promote and encourage innovations from chemical companies in favor of sustainable development and the development of eco-responsible approaches in the industry.
On Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in the presence of the Minister Delegate in charge of Industry, Mr Roland Lescure, Dow France was honored to receive, in the category of design, manufacture and marketing of products in favor of the environment, one of the Pierre Potier Medals for DURATRACK™ WH-155, our new hybrid emulsion binder.
This emulsion has been designed for use in two-component waterborne road marking paints, particularly where a thick application is required.
DURATRACK™ WH-155 emulsion-based road marking or decoration formulations allow similar handling and application to cold methacrylic coatings while requiring much less Titanium Dioxide and without the strong odor associated with the use of monomers.
But that's not all! These exceptional characteristics are also durable over time, since Duratrack™WH-155-based coatings can maintain high marking performance for up to several years and millions of wheel passes depending on external conditions.
We are proud of our teams who developed Duratrack™WH-155 in collaboration with Xavier Bricout, Marketing Manager Coating Additives and Leidy Luzardo Dellan, Technical Support Road Marking, contributing to more responsible road marking.
"This prestigious award celebrates many years of hard work and innovation, and once again highlights the vital role played by chemistry when it comes to serving the environment wisely." said Xavier Bricout.
Dow France is delighted to receive the Pierre Potier prize, which is highly emblematic in the world of chemistry, and thanks the Fondation de la Maison de la Chimie and France Chimie for this award.
