Dow to showcase proven solutions for enhanced productivity and product durability

DOWSIL™ sealant solutions for window and door manufacturing to be on display at GlassBuild America 2019

Visitors to Booth 3805 at GlassBuild America 2019 from September 17-19 in Atlanta, Georgia, will have the opportunity to discover how window and door manufacturers can benefit from high-performance silicone sealants and adhesives from Dow (NYSE: DOW).

An industry leader with a comprehensive range of proven solutions for sealing, bonding, weatherproofing, backbedding and mullion sealing applications, Dow is well-positioned to help manufacturers develop the next generation of durable, sustainable windows and doors.

“Our DOWSIL™ sealants are ideal for the manufacture, installation and weatherproofing of high-performing, energy-efficient windows, doors, and building elements,” said Lori Floyd, commercial & customer experience communications manager for Dow High Performance Building. “Silicones are not only proven superior over other sealants; they also can give manufacturers significant competitive advantages.”

In addition to showcasing the wide range of proven products currently offered, Dow experts will preview new products in the final stages of development – solutions that address specific needs of manufacturers, including manufacturing productivity and window durability improvements.

Collaborating for expanded design options

With an extensive offering of customer and technical support available, the Dow High Performance Building team works with manufacturers and engineers to help ensure that building components and systems will perform as designed. Ensuring window and wall systems meet industry standard tests is an important step in that process.

“At our Building Innovation and Collaboration Center, we help our customers test their mockups for structural stability and air and water infiltration,” said Brent Dull, technical service & development technician for Dow High Performance Building North America. “The full-scale test wall lets engineers test new solutions – and solve problems – prior to final project testing, saving time and test costs.”

Capabilities of the center’s test wall will be featured in a video at the booth.
