Dow introduces the Dow Coolant Care Network to simplify data center liquid cooling management

MIDLAND, Mich. — May 18, 2026 — Dow (NYSE: DOW) today announced the launch of Dow Coolant Care Network, an end-to-end service model, designed to help data center operators protect uptime, reduce operational risk, and confidently manage direct-to-chip liquid cooled systems using DOWFROST™ LC and DOWFROST™ HD Heat Transfer Fluids.

As hyperscale and high-performance data centers expand to support artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and increasingly dense workloads, cooling reliability has become critical. Operators face challenges, including fragmented testing practices, disconnected service providers, and limited visibility into fluid performance across primary and secondary cooling loops. The Dow Coolant Care Network addresses these challenges by bringing together fluid supply, testing, data analysis, expert interpretation, and mitigation support within a single, coordinated framework.

With nearly a hundred years of leadership in heat transfer fluid chemistry and a growing role in advanced cooling technologies, Dow is uniquely positioned to support the evolving needs of the data center industry. The network reflects Dow’s commitment to helping customers move beyond reactive maintenance toward more proactive, data‑driven fluid management strategies.

“As data centers become the backbone of the digital economy, liquid cooling systems have become the critical enablers of AI,” said Chuck Carn, Data Center Growth Platform Director. “Customers are looking for solutions that simplify complexity while delivering confidence, consistency, and expert guidance. This coordinated approach allows Dow to go beyond providing materials to offering a network of providers that can deliver seamless and reliable performance backed by the expert team at Dow designing the technology behind DOWFROST™ Heat Transfer Fluids.”

An End-to-End Approach to Coolant Management

The Dow Coolant Care Network connects data center owners with approved service providers and qualified third-party laboratories for DOWFROST™ Heat Transfer Fluids, supported by Dow’s deep technical expertise. While sampling and testing are conducted by these selected providers, Dow interprets data, makes recommendations, and develops escalation protocols, ensuring global consistency.

Designed to give operators clarity and confidence, the network includes:

  • Routine and advanced fluid testing performed by Dow-qualified external laboratories
  • Centralized review of test data through Dow systems
  • Expert analysis and actionable guidance from Dow technical specialists
  • Ongoing in-field support for sampling, mitigation, and fluid health optimization by Dowapproved service providers

By serving as the technical link between laboratories, service providers, and end users, Dow helps reduce fragmentation in coolant management, improve decision-making, and lower operational risk across cooling systems. Using Dow approved service providers, backed by Dow technical collaboration, removes operational and reliability risk when selecting DOWFROST™ Heat Transfer Fluids for cooling needs.

Creating Long-Term Value for the Data Center Industry

This coordinated network reinforces Dow’s strategy of continuous value creation for customers by combining materials science expertise with system-level insight and proactive guidance. This approach enables data center operators to transition from short-term, issue-based responses to more strategic, long-term fluid management, supporting performance, reliability, and cost control over the life of their assets.

Designed to scale globally, the network supports growing demand across major regions and strengthens Dow’s role as a trusted advisor in data center cooling. Building on early engagement in North America, Dow is developing Coolant Care Networks in Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific to better serve data center operators across these regions. As advanced cooling technologies, such as direct-to-chip, become more prevalent, Dow’s integrated model is designed to support the industry’s next phase of growth.
