The Dow Gives Community Grants Program is ecstatic to announce 15 local organizations are the recipients of grant awards, up to $20,000, that will be used to power innovative and creative community well-being projects that align with Dow’s Global Citizenship strategy to invest in science in society, and to contribute to community success and sustainability. Dow believes community sustainability is critical to the future success of both the community and local industry, and the Dow Gives Grants Program is one of many ways Dow seeks to support community well-being.

ADAPT Foundation Inc. – Funding for Improvements to Current Intensive Residential Treatment Facilities to provide a full continuum of residential services locally.
Angleton Area Emergency Medical Corps, Inc. – Funding for the purchase of three new O_Two E-700 Automatic Transport Ventilator Systems to complete the equipment needs on three existing ambulances.
Bay Area Council Boy Scouts of America – Funding for a new Robotics Program including the opportunity for scouts to earn a robotics merit badge.
Boys & Girls Club of Brazoria County, Inc. – Funding for the purchase of 240 Coding Devices to be used by 600 students to learn coding and other tech skills at the 12 after-school programs in the Brazosport area.
Brazoria County Dream Center – Funding to implement a new Digital Points Shopping System in the Dream Pantry to better serve the needs of the community through promoting flexibility and dignity in the pantry experience.
Brazoria County Gathering Place Interfaith Ministries – Funding for the purchase of Copies of the Educational DVD Series “Regain Your Brain” to be donated for distribution through the Brazoria County Library System.
Brazoria County Master Gardeners – Funding for the purchase of a Camera-Equipped Microscope and Projector to offer live-specimen bee educational programming to schools and other local organizations.
Brazosport College Foundation – Funding to implement a special Supplies Enhancement Project to support campus safety including the purchase of ballistics vests and helmets for BC Officers, tactical breaching tools, and body cameras.
City of West Columbia – Funding for the purchase of five Speed-Aware Radar Signs in school zones along SH36 and SH35 to promote student safety.
CHI St. Luke’s Brazosport Regional Health System – Funding for an Ultrasound System to deliver precision doses of medication allowing patients to better achieve pain management without the use of excessive systemic opioids following surgical procedures.
Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) Corporation for Regional Excellence – Funding to support H-GAC’s Wastewater Assistance Program to provide low-income residents with pumping, repair, or replacement services for failing septic systems.
Interfaith Food Bank Inc. – Funding to purchase a Complete Replacement of The Food Basket’s HVAC System to support the health and wellness of clients and volunteers.
Lake Jackson Emergency Medical Services Inc. – Funding for the purchase of Liberator IV Ballistic Armor Kits for each EMT to wear in the instance of high-risk calls.
Pregnancy Help Center of Brazosport – Funding to support a Car Seat Safety Class and the H.O.P.E. Program to assist 30+ Brazosport families meet their parenting needs.
Stephen F. Austin Community Health Center Inc. – Funding for the purchase of Medical Equipment including two vital sign machines, wheelchairs, and audiometer, and a colonoscopy machine.
Throughout the month of December, the Dow Texas Operations Facebook page featured each of the Dow Gives Education and Community Grant recipient organizations and their innovation projects.
Dow's 2025 Goals and Global Citizenship focus remain on sustainable communities. “The new Dream Pantry platform will allow individuals to receive a certain number of points on a digital card,” said Terri Willis, Executive Director, Brazoria County Dream Center. “The digital point system is connected to our new Clover System which will help with our food inventory flow and give individuals who need to utilize the Dream Pantry for their shopping needs give them dignity and ownership. Families will be able to use the card throughout the month when they need it not just on certain days every couple of weeks. For example, they only need a couple of cans of food on Monday but decide they need two more cans on Thursday; they will be able to do that. The New Dream Pantry platform will become their grocery store.”

The Dow Gives Community Grants Program is an annual competitive grant program designed to support social, economic, or environmental projects that will enhance the quality of life within communities near Dow Freeport Operations site. Applicants must be charitable or non-profit organizations (have a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax designation) or be municipal or government agencies. The program is not intended to provide on-going operational funding. Instead, it is directed at one-time, tangible, re-usable project costs that relate to long-term sustainable initiatives meeting the needs of communities near Dow Freeport Operations
