
Denise DeLaune a member of the Dow Operations Leadership Team, is the Vice President of U.S. Gulf Coast Operations and Site Director of Texas Operations. She is responsible for 10 advanced manufacturing sites, the Texas Innovation Center, a state-of-the-art R&D campus, and the Houston Dow Center, a strategic engineering and business hub.
As the Site Director for Dow Texas Operations, she leads one of the largest integrated petrochemical manufacturing sites in the world. The site employs more than 8,000 people, producing products that are used in industrial and consumer applications including food packaging, health care, automobiles, construction and electronics.
Denise began her career in 1998 as an engineer in the Acrolein plant at St. Charles Operations. In 2003, she moved to Plaquemine as Operations Leader for the Polyglycols and Glycol Ethers businesses. Later, she became the Global EH&S Business Operations Leader for several businesses and Production leader for Polyglycols at SCO.
In 2011, Denise relocated to Freeport to serve as Associate Production Director for Epoxy 1, Epoxy 4, and the Polyglycols Market Development plant. In 2014, she became Responsible Care Director for the Houston Hub including Deer Park, La Porte, Bayport, and later Texas City. In 2016, Denise started the role of Senior Hydrocarbons Production Director in Bohlen, Germany, and Site Operations Director of the Bohlen and Teutschenthal sites.
In 2019, Denise relocated back to the US and became Senior Site Director for St. Charles Operations. In 2021, she moved to Midland and took a global role for Operational Excellence and Leveraged Services where she took on responsibility for Dow’s Digital Operations and responsibility for global Environmental and Analytical Operations as well as the Learning and Talent Development Programs. In this role, she also led the Purchased Services and Contractor Labor track for the corporate PMO.
Denise graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in chemical engineering. She is a graduate of the H.H. Dow Academy and has attended Executive Leadership Training at Smith College. She is a recipient of the Manufacturing Institute Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Production (STEP) Award and NA WIN Champion Award. She is serving as the WIN NA Co-Chair, and an ally for GLAD, GAAN, and other inclusion initiatives. She is also on the DowPAC National Steering Team.
Denise is a certified Six Sigma green belt project leader, served on the Louisiana Chemical Association Board and Vice Chair of the Environmental Committee. She is on the Manufacturing Leadership Council’s Board of Governors, the Board for the Texas Chemistry Council, Brazoria Economic Alliance, Greater Houston Partnership, and Houston Energy Transition Initiative.
