We are looking for ambitious bachelor’s and master’s students (m/f) to support our Research & Development (R&D) organization at our locations in Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.

Our R&D organization offers great career opportunities in a global and international environment. Our organization includes several sub-departments such as Packaging Speciality & Plastics (PS&P), Silicones, Cosmetics Silicones, Polyurethanes, Dow Industrial Solutions and Coatings. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and work on projects that align with your interests and career goals.

Responsibilities

• Characterization & Analytical Science: Perform analytical testing on chemical and polymeric materials using advanced techniques to evaluate performance, quality, and structure–property relationships.
• Product Development: Assist in designing, formulating, and testing new materials or concepts through lab experiments, data interpretation, and prototype creation.
• Sustainability & Recycling: Contribute to circularity and recycling initiatives by evaluating sustainable solutions, assessing environmental impact, and supporting process improvements.
• Technical Service & Development (TS&D): Support the development, optimization, and application testing of innovative materials for customer‑focused projects and performance evaluations.
• Process R&D: Assist with process optimization, scale‑up studies, and pilot‑plant activities to support efficient, safe, and sustainable manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• You are currently studying for a bachelor’s or master’s in chemistry, chemical engineering or related field.
• You have a good working knowledge of English. Other languages like Spanish, French, Dutch and German are considered a plus.
• You are looking to do an internship for 4 to 6 months.
