Supply Chain Scheduling Specialist

About you and this role

Decides what, when and where to supply for multiple production sites or multiple plants at one site, within a single business or multiple smaller businesses. Balances supply and demand over the operational horizon, to achieve optimum product availability, asset utilization and supply chain efficiencies.
In this role, you will require conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures as well as having general business knowledge developed through education or prior experience related to your discipline and functional area. You will need to have the ability to exchange straightforward information with others and ask questions to check for understanding.
It is your responsibility to use established procedures and practice to analyse and resolve standard problems. You will be accountable for assigned contributions with no direct supervisory responsibilities. Your performance impacts your own work with limited impact on your team. You will need to use established procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
 

Responsibilities

• Develops short-term, time-phased supply schedules that align with business needs, plant constraints, inventory goals, and customer service targets.
• Executes optimal sourcing strategies—regional or global—and manages external manufacturing agreements when applicable.
• Operates and maintains planning models at site or regional levels, ensuring efficient use of IT and functional expertise.
• Coordinates internal demand planning and integrates utilities/environmental operations at specific locations.
• Monitors inventory levels and statuses, resolves supply issues, and ensures alignment with production plans.
• Collaborates across functions—customer service, manufacturing, logistics, and partners—to manage disruptions and support global supply chain initiatives.

Qualifications

• University Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or other Sciences
• Candidates with 2-3 years of supply chain planning experience will be preferred, bringing practical insights and a proven ability to navigate the complexities of operational planning and cross-functional collaboration.

• Demonstrate flexibility work in working hours to accommodate the time zone requirements of the reporting area, ensuring effective coordination and timely communication with global teams
• The ability to accommodate a flexible schedule aligned with international time zones is essential. Role is based in Navi Mumbai
