Manufacturing & Engineering Internship – Process Safety Documentation for Compliance against Process Safety program

About you and this role

We are looking for you, an ambitious Bachelor’s or Master’s student in engineering (m/f), to support our department by doing an internship project in for our location in Seneffe, Belgium.

The department that will welcome you is part of the Consumer Solutions Business specialized in the production of Silicones Antifoam, Emulsions and Sealants (Manufacturing department)

Responsibilities

The objective of the internship / stage is to collect and gather information and create procedures to help the Seneffe’ s Site to continuously improve its Process Safety level:

  • Prepare documentation of pressure relief devices useful for calculation notes creation.
  • Work on the implementation of small process safety improvement projects in the production area.
  • Assess the nitrogen flow rates used in the different production units to identify potential gaps versus the “Nitrogen” standard + complete asphyxiation risk analysis.
  • For each production unit, document safe process operating limits, (e.g., temperatures, pressures, flows, compositions).
  • Identify Basic Process Control Systems Protection functions with operational response and document them in the procedures.

Qualifications

  • You are currently studying for a bachelor or master degree in engineering, with minimum 2 full years of studies behind you.
  • You have a good working knowledge of English and French.

You can start between February 2025 and June 2025 for a period of 4 to 6 months (exact timing to be discussed).
