The Ecosmar has the objective to amplify the job offer and income in the Matarandiba island, Bahia.
Over the last 15 years, Steve Biko Foundation has been leading the Oguntec Project. It helps more than 500 students from public schools to reduce the gap between afro-descendant and other ethnicity students.

Under limited time and resources, teams of high school students are challenged to build industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game in alliance with other teams, while also fundraising to meet their goals and advancing appreciation for STEM within the local community.
Project developed by United Way Mexico, the United States Embassy and Dow to provide tools, techniques and an inclusive space for innovation that helps students to solve social problems such as waste management.
