Your job search, step by step

Step 1: Before you apply

Step 2: Getting started

Upon selecting the geographic region of your choice, you will be able to view a list of open jobs. If you narrow the search by geography but do not see any available opportunities that fit with your background or interests, you may still join our Talent Community or create or update a professional profile to receive job alerts or allow you to easily apply once you find a job that fits. The professional profile will allow you to receive automatic email notifications of new positions that match your preferences.

Step 3: Applying

Use the search option filters to identify positions of interest. If you are a first-time applicant, you will be asked to create a profile. After creating a user ID, you can import information from your LinkedIn account to expedite the process. Next, complete the online form and answer the questions posted as part of the pre-screen process. Complete the online form and answer the questions posted as part of the prescreen process. Attach all relevant supporting documents (i.e., resume, transcripts, references, etc.). Be sure to read our application tips before this step.

Step 4: Acknowledgement

After you apply for a position, you will receive an email from Dow acknowledging your application. We will contact you if we need more information from you, as well as keep you posted on the status of your application.

Step 5: Screening

We will review your profile and any attachments you provide against our job requirements. Candidates that best fit with the position may be asked to participate in a phone screen, allowing us to obtain more information about you. This will also be an opportunity for you to assess Dow's fit for you.

Step 6: Interview

If you're invited for an interview, we will provide further information on the venue and timing. The number of interviews and how they are conducted vary by position, though most interviews will take place at the Dow site where the job opening is located. You may be asked to interview with a representative from HR or a business/function, or both. Keep in mind that the interview is a great place to discuss not only what you have to offer, but also to learn more about our company and people. Be sure to read our interview tips before this step.

Step 7: Informing Candidates of Decision & Employment Offer

You will hear back from us regarding an employment decision upon completion of all interviews. Your employment offer will feature information on the job position, salary and benefits. Though it may vary by role, the entire application process may take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks. Once interviews are complete, we will extend offers to the candidate(s) that we feel are the best fit at that particular time. We receive many great applications for each role - if you find that you are not selected, we hope that you consider applying for future job opportunities at Dow.
