Katherine Kirk a native of Australia based now in Kansas, is known not only for her golf career with 36 Top Ten finishes and 3 career victories, but also for her welcoming personality. Katherine is commonly referred to as the friendliest player on the LPGA Tour. In 2017, she received the Founders Award as the LPGA member “whose behavior and deeds best exemplifies the spirit, ideals and values of the LPGA”. Leadership, compassion, and approachability are all tenets that Dow strives to exemplify as well, which makes sense why we also received a similar award for the Dow GLBI. Passionate about philanthropy, both globally and locally, Katherine has been involved with Golf Fore Africa (ending the Global Water crises by 2030) since 2009 and also supports the First Tee in Wichita where she resides with her husband Tom.

She is also, like Dow, committed to seeing more young boys and girls from all backgrounds involved in STEM, inspired by her own love for mathematics and technology from an early age. Together, Katherine and Dow are working to encourage the next generation to pursue these subjects in order to advance critical thinking, problem-solving, and invention, to help transform the world.
