Rebecca Bentley is Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Dow, one of the world’s leading materials science companies with 2025 sales of approximately $40 billion and nearly 35,000 employees operating manufacturing sites in 29 countries.
Bentley is a member of Dow’s Enterprise Leadership Team. She has executive oversight for managing internal and external stakeholder engagement; leading global government affairs, policy and advocacy priorities; driving marketing communications in support of Dow’s customers; advancing the company’s brand and reputation; and managing enterprise risks.
Since joining Dow in 2002 in Plaquemine, Louisiana, Bentley has played a pivotal role in a number of significant enterprise-level issues and strategic transformations for the Company. Her leadership has included managing the financial media strategy for Dow’s multi-year transformations; shaping communications for major joint ventures and guiding communications surrounding a number of M&A events, including Dow’s merge-and-spin transaction with DuPont, representing a combined market cap of $130 billion at announcement.
Before joining Dow, Bentley held Public Affairs roles with Georgia Gulf Corporation and International Paper Company.
She serves as a member of Dow’s Company Foundation philanthropic board. She is also an active member and past chair of Dow PAC—Dow’s U.S.-based employee political action committee. And she is the executive sponsor of RISE, Dow’s employee resource group representing team members with fewer than seven years of service. She is a member of Communications 50, the Arthur W. Page Society, and serves her local community as chair of the United Way of Midland County Board of Directors. In 2014, she was named one of PRWeek’s “40 Under 40” MVPs.
Bentley is a graduate of the Manship School of Mass Communications at Louisiana State University, with an emphasis in Public Relations, Marketing and Economics.
