We are currently looking for a Process Automation Engineer (m/f/d). Come and join our Engineering-team@DOW in Stade– Germany!

As a Process Automation Engineer, you will be at the forefront of innovation. Leverage your expertise to develop and optimize production control and data processing systems. You will provide technical guidance to project teams, ensuring seamless performance.
•    Data Wizards: Proficient in data transmission, visualization, and database development, you’ll be the wizard behind the scenes.

Responsibilities

  • You will serve as the expert for production data processing tools and interfacing in the space of chemical operations.
  • You will participates in project activities as well as delivering continuous improvement and support.
  • You will support the development of MES processes according to plant requirements
  • You will work on the design, specifications, configuration, testing, implementation and startup of manufacturing execution systems (e. g. Aspen IP21, SAP, OREM) and related database solutions.
  • You will design special interfaces between different process information platforms.
  • You will support training of operations personnel and supports commissioning and start-up activities.
  • You will supports future process improvements and product developments.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Automation Engineering or any other STEM related degree.
  • Interest in process data (MES, Aspen Tech IP.21) and modern process automation concepts.
  • Familiarity with database and network technologies (SQL, TCP/IP).
  • Programming skills are considered an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, problem-solving mentality and logical thinking.
  • Fluent in German and comfortable communicating in English.
