Students Compete to Identify the Best Ecological Projects

Midland, Michigan - January 13, 2017 -

Dow and the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Ukraine have launched a competition for the best ecological project among students of 5th and 6th grades of Ukraine. The main purpose of the project is to allow participants to improve their knowledge of energy efficiency and chemistry as a science. Moreover, the competition will help schools identify opportunities for improvement while also recognizing creativity among students.

The teams collaborated and submitted their projects to the jury of the competition for review in February. Project submissions are focused on ideas for improvement in the schools for energy efficiency, including the potential use of Dow water purification technologies and general upgrades within the schools. Three winners will obtain financing and an opportunity to realize their projects as a result of the competition.

Dow leaders in Russia are leveraging Dow’s worldwide Olympic expertise with NOC to demonstrate the application of innovative solutions and technologies in everyday life. It is a great opportunity to engage and educate young people to build a better future now with the help of sports partnerships.
