GLBR - CASA Volunteer Opportunity
The CAN council has an exciting volunteer opportunity in the Great Lakes Bay Region for those interested in helping children in foster care. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are highly trained volunteers serving as the voice for children who are in the court system due to abuse and neglect. Each CASA volunteer advocates on behalf of one child or family at a time. Children in foster care who have a CASA volunteer are more likely to succeed in school and adjust to change, and they’re half as likely to re-enter the foster care system later. Learn how you can get involved and change a child’s story by visiting cancouncil.org/casa or by calling us at 989-752-7226.
