Dow Champions Circular Economy at the 2016 Responsible Business Forum

MIDLAND, Mich. - December 16, 2016 -

Peter Wong, Dow Asia Pacific President, participated in a plenary panel on “Global Goals and the Circular Economy” at the 2016 Responsible Business Forum held in Singapore during November. Themed “Innovation and Collaboration to Deliver the Global Goals,” the two and half-day forum was attended by over 700 delegates, together with 107 speakers and over 80 media representatives, drawn from 26 different countries.

During the panel discussion, Wong highlighted Dow’s 2025 Sustainability Goals and the Company’s commitment to collaboration across value chain stakeholders to address local issues and provide innovative solutions that enable a circular economy.

In addition, Wong was also invited to share his perspectives in an interview segment on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal on Responsible Consumption and Production. He spoke about Dow’s efforts to support the achievement of this goal in the Asia Pacific region by 2030.

“The power of working at the intersection of business, government and economy, combined with our collaborative innovation model, will open the boundaries of Dow’s R&D expertise which will enable us to develop new technologies that address the circular economy in Asia Pacific,” Wong said.
