Composite Building Panels HFFR Core Layer

- January 01, 2016 -

HFFR core compounds based on DuPont™ Elvaloy® AC acrylate copolymer can deliver superior flame retardancy and sound deadening in composite building panels.

DuPont offers a complete system for halogen-free flame retardant (HFFR) composite panel core layers including Elvaloy® AC base polymer, a technology license that can help protect your innovation, and complete technical support to tailor the composition to specific requirements.

HFFR Core Layer Compounding Efficiency
Elvaloy® AC has excellent compatibility with low-cost fillers such as CaCO3, ground ATH and ground Mg(OH)2. Your resulting flame retardant, sound deadening core compounds can be highly cost competitive compared to other conventional HFFR technologies.

One of the ways to further assure proven performance of a filled compound is to use a proven coupling agent such as DuPont™ Fusabond® functionalized polyolefin.
