Description

Dow’s Digital Focused Marketing internship is designed to give qualifying college students experience within Marketing at a Fortune 100 company, helping Dow’s digital transformation through compelling digital marketing and e-commerce.  The Digital Focused Marketing internship is a 12-14 week where participants will be at the leading edge of Dow moving into ecommerce and using digital and virtual platforms as enhanced channels to market.  Participants will combine practical learning with on-the-job assignments with the various technologies, people and processes which drive the inner workings of the Commercial Organization. Collaborating with the business teams, the intern will lead projects that has direct applicability to Dow’s growth strategy and continued future success.  Participants will grow competencies in digital marketing, business acumen, interpersonal skills, time, and project management, drive for results, as well as broaden their business perspective.

Interns are expected to apply their prior work experiences as well as the analytical tools and insights gained from school to deliver fresh, provocative, and actionable solutions.  Equally important, the role of each intern is to actively network across the company to develop their own assessment of Dow, our culture and the full-time career opportunity. 

All work terms are a minimum of 12 weeks with a maximum of 14 weeks in duration. These intern positions are to be available in Midland, Michigan or Virtual Home Office North America.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Digital Marketing Internship possesses the following characteristics and qualifications:

  • Strong critical thinking skills, with a passion for the intersection between marketing and digital.
  • Comfortable in a “humble yet high performing” culture, requiring effective teamwork while also demanding a high degree of individual accountability.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and high level of Emotional Intelligence ("EQ") and Curiosity Quotient ("CQ").
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding work ethic and leadership potential
  • Active participation and leadership in extracurricular activities and on-campus organizations
  • Previous internship/co-op experience is a plus

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing.
  • Must have a minimum overall cumulative 2.700 GPA with a preferred GPA of 3.00 (on a 4.000 scale) at your current university.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Reliable attendance is an expectation of every Dow employee, either physically on site or working in a virtual space. Students also must be able to provide their own reliable transportation for the work assignment or a dedicated virtual work space.
