US Energy Policy
The paradigm of energy scarcity that has driven much of the United States’ energy policy for the previous decades is changing to one of abundance, and that has left the U.S. and its energy future at a cross roads. The policy decisions that are made now regarding our energy resources will have real and lasting effects on manufacturers and the economy.
At Dow, we believe that sound energy policies can be a catalyst for economic growth and the recommendations embodied here will transition us to a more sustainable energy future:
- Conserve by aggressively pursuing energy efficiency
- Optimize, increase and diversify domestic hydrocarbon resources
- Accelerate the development of cost-effective clean energy alternatives
