The Speed of STEM is a set of activities developed for middle school aged students (ages 11-14) around the science of racing. The module is a collaboration between Dow’s STEM Ambassadors and Richard Childress Racing to develop content that uniquely combines racing and the chemical industry through hands-on learning. These activities bring curriculum concepts to life, demonstrate real-world connections to classroom content and introduce a range of STEM career opportunities. The first of three modules focuses on the physics of racing, with modules on math and chemistry to come soon.
