Mark Saurin is business president for Dow’s Industrial Solutions business unit and a member of the company’s leadership team.
During his 19-year career with Dow, Saurin has held numerous leadership positions. In his most recent role, Saurin was the North American commercial vice president for Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics (P&SP), where he was responsible for developing and driving the business strategy, and delivering value-creation initiatives to help better serve customers and the entire industry. Prior to that role, Saurin was the Asia Pacific commercial vice president for P&SP.
Saurin has held various positions at Dow, including Performance Plastics asset and supply chain director for Europe, Middle East, and Africa; sales director for Basic Plastics in Northern Europe covering the United Kingdom as well as the Nordic and Benelux countries; Solution Polyethylene product director for Europe, India, Middle East and Africa; global marketing manager for ANGUS and Dow biocides for the coatings sector; and senior marketing manager for Industrial and Consumer Packaging. He has also been active on several Dow marketing councils and cross-business leadership teams.
Saurin joined Dow through the Ascot acquisition in the United Kingdom. Before that, he served eight years in several sales and marketing roles for Exxon and Ascot’s Haltermann in the commodity and specialty chemical businesses.
Saurin holds a degree in chemistry and management studies from Sussex University in the United Kingdom and an MBA from the Northwood Executive MBA program.
He has represented Dow on the Polyolefins Committee of PlasticsEurope and the Regional Advisory Board of PlasticsEurope, Northern region.
