Diego Donoso is President of Dow’s Packaging and Specialty Plastics (P&SP) commercial business and Olefins, Aromatics & Alternatives (OAA) hydrocarbons business.
With annual sales in excess of $15 Billion, the business is widely recognized as one of the world’s largest materials suppliers of high performance polyethylene resins, specialty resins and adhesives used in food packaging, industrial packaging, infrastructure, and transportation applications.
Donoso joined Dow in 1991 as a trainee in the commercial area in São Paulo, Brazil after graduating with a degree in Business Administration from Babson College, in Boston, Massachusetts. Over the next 20 years, he served in numerous marketing and commercial leadership positions for Dow’s resins and plastics franchise in both Latin America (Brazil, Argentina) and Europe (Switzerland, Italy).
A strong proponent of diversity and inclusion in the workforce, Donoso is Executive Sponsor of Dow’s Middle East, North Africa Employee Resource Group (MENA) and is a frequent speaker on the benefits of building an inclusive work culture. Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and English, Donoso has completed the Leadership in the Global Enterprise program from the Thunderbird School in Phoenix, Arizona, and a senior executive program at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Donoso and his wife Sandra have three daughters and live in Midland, Michigan.
